04/26/2008Please help! brassiness in blonde hair?
- I got one light blonde chunk put in my medium/dark brown hair today, and it looks awesome except for in the middle of the chunk their is a huge brassy stripe! My hairdresser was aware of this and was more than happy to fix it, we tried keeping me under the dryer for as long as my hair could take, but I didn't want to do much more to it at the salon to avoid damaging it. She did offer to redo it right there but I was crammed for time and had to leave. She suggested that it would lighten up after I wash it a few times, and I agreed because something similar had happened to me before. However, I'd like to get rid of this brassiness fast because I'm going to have a busy week ahead of me. Any home remedies or special shampoos I can try??
- Best Answer:I have the perfect product for that, it's called Shimmer Lights, which you can purchase at Sally's, maybe even drugstores because it's a Clairol product, but I'm not too sure. But it's a purple shampoo, so if you use it you have to be careful with how much you use it because it could leave you with a purplish-bluish tint to your hair. Use it about once a month & after the first use you should get great results.
- Answer:hi, there actually is a few things you can do yourself, you can use purple shampoo which is fantastic if it is a deep purple as it tones it, also you can by toners in a packet to do yourself at home, very easy, just stick to what the packet says for instructions as you dont want to leave it on 2 long or it will go purple or grey, this can happen to anyone who goes blonde from brown it is very common, it just needs to be toned! i am a blonde and have been for a long time and i use purple shampoo every time i wash my hair and it works wonders promise
- Answer:the best shampoo to use is head and shoulder. I know it's not some fancy popular product but it carries "zinc" in it which makes your hair colour lighter or fade away the dye. Trust me, my friend is a hairdresser and she told me this since i dyed my hair red/brown and now i want to go blonde so now my hair is light brown. Be sure to leave the shampoo in for 10-15 minutes, same with the cond.
- Answer:You can use shampoos and conditioners but most likely, the won't work!
If you are in the sun a lot, try squeezing lemon in the streak before you go outside!
The lemon has an acid that tends to make hair lighter when sun or heat is applied to it =)
Hope this helped.
- Answer:Why didn't this hair stylist add a toner to your hair? There are no home remedies to try. Choose a different hair stylist.
