04/26/2008Removing tattoo in the first 24 hours?
  • Is there any way to remove a tattoo in the first 24 hours after you get it? Idk, like scrub really deep into the skin or something? lol

and don't say "oh, you needed to think more about it before you got it" or something like that. I had thought about it and I really wanted it, and now I'm regretting it =(
  • Best Answer:No way to get rid of it, and scrubbing deep into the skin will at most only make it look messed up. You may be experiencing some anxiety over it, but give it a little time. If you really thought about it and wanted it before you went in, then you probably made the right decision in getting it. It can just be slightly traumatic to see your body change in such a drastic way in such a short time. You are used to looking at yourself in a certain way, and now everything has changed. That doesn't necessarily make it a regrettable decision. Just give yourself and your psyche a little time to get used to the new you, and eventually you'll probably love it.

I felt the same way after getting what is now one of my favorite tattoos. One of my smallest ones in fact. For some reason it made me really anxious for the first couple of weeks, then i realized it was really amazing. Take pride in your artwork. And if in a few months or a year you are still unhappy with the decision to get it, you can take steps to change it, by covering it with new art or otherwise. But i bet you'll love it in time. No worries =)
  • Answer:Nope. Once it's there, it's there. Doesn't matter if it's fresh or not.

I mean, you could always take steel wool to your skin, but I bet you'd regret the scar a lot more than the tattoo.

The only reasonably effective and non-disfiguring way of removing a tattoo, whether it's 5 minutes old or 5 decades old, is laser removal.

The comment above mine is incorrect. Peeling the scabs may remove some of the ink, but the majority will stay in, and essentially you'll wind up with a shitty-looking, but still very dark tattoo.
  • Answer:well then apparently you didn't really think about it enough, if less than 24 hours afterwards you're regretting it. you made your bed and now you have to lie in it with your new tattoo. Let this be a lesson to you about being impulsive and not thinking things through well enough or long enough.
  • Answer:if you go with the person thats saying make it bleed etc, yes it may work, but your going to end up with a scar in that area the same shape as the tattoo that you have.
so best thing to do is laser or put up worth it, sorry but its the way it goes. main reason people shouldnt get tattoo's if your not certain.
  • Answer:hey i have a solution to your problem you won't get it fully removed but at least it would look like you never got one. ok go out to the store and buy some skin cover up lotion that matches your skin color go home and put enough on to cover it up (make sure you bought a big bottle) then get a hair dryer and blow dry it to make it stay on your skin and not smear. i hope my advice works for you. Good Luck!!
  • Answer:Other than laser surgery i don't think theres any other way of removing an unwanted tattoo...

Have you considered tattooing over it?
I think thats the best & cheapest option, dont scratch it or scrub it though you could end up getting an infection in it...
  • Answer:unfortunately not. the only way to get rid of a tattoo is through laser. it hurts way more and is a lot more expensive than the actual tattoo process. so make sure you do some research and get quotes before getting it erased (its a long expensive process).
  • Answer:oh damn.. and no scrubbing deep into the skin wont get rid of it, i don't think, because its inside.. if you know what i mean.
Sorry to say this but you should have thought about it carefully and throughly before getting it.
  • Answer:I wonder if scrubbing could smear it and make it look bad. I don't know anything about tattoos, but this early, it might do some damage to it and that might be even worse!
  • Answer:no chance your stuck with it now unless you get it lasered
  • Answer:ouch! sorry dude, learn to love it. or start planning a cover-up
  • Answer:just get a cover up over the top of it....
  • Answer:So you got all the wanker answers in....well now for the truth.

Since your tattoo is new, and if you say so only 24hrs old, get to work quickly, shower, wet the area and try to lightly scrub te area in thr shower, since your new tattoo has not healed, it is basicaly and open wound, try to peel off any scabbing that forms as this will help to pull the ink out of the skin also, the best wy would be to keeep the wound open by not letting theskin heal over and keep trying to make the skin bleed and weep to push the ink out. Most of your success will be in the next 2 days, after this your tattoo is permanent.
Most likely you will be left with skin scarring for keeping the wound open, as the longer a skin is open the worse the scarr tissue will be.
You probably wont get all of the ink out, and certain colours will not come out easily as black. So expect a shadow of it once you heal.
Go get it bleeding now, take a blood thinning pain killer like "asprin" to make your tattoo bleed, more blood in the area will push the ink out of your skin.
