- The skin on my knuckles ALWAYS freaking dries out. Not to the point of gross peeling, but it's dry. And it bugs me. I have tried frequent lotion and everything. I don't think I have a skin condition but if anybody can suggest something... That would be awesome.
- Best Answer:You have to exfoliate away the dead skin before any lotion can penetrate into your healthy skin. Get a scrub, and massage your hands for a few minutes, rinse, then follow with a rich cream. Creams rich in Shea butter, aloe , vit E, cocoa butter are very healing to the skin. Also try to avoid harsh chemicals, wear gloves when cleaning. Put moisturizer on as soon as u wash them.
- Answer:Try soaking your hands in warm water for about a half an hour, after that scrub them real good them real good then apply your lotion. Aveeno is a great lotion if you havent tries this. You can also try a strong hair condition, it works wonders on your skin.
