04/26/2008Where can i buy a 4pin to 4 pin firewire cable that's compadable to a SC-D372 mini dvcamcorder and a laptop??!

I have gone to wal-mart, best buy, circut city (where i got my camcorder, which is a samsung) and none of them have the right kind of cable.

I have a gateway laptop that apparently has four pins. The cables I've bought and returned would eaither fit the camcorder or the laptop, not both! I'm despertate and determined to get this cable! seriously! I've even had my father call the samsung company to see if they have one. they do, but its a four pin to six pin-- it won't fit in my laptop.

If anyone knows where i can find one, or has the same laptop/camcorder, please, please let me know!

again, I have a miniDV camcorder- SC-D372 and a gateway laptop.

Best Answer:I don't know what your local options are, but there are loads available online. fwiw, all MiniDV camcorders use a 4 pin connection and 4 pin ports aren't unusual on laptops - you're looking for a very common cable!
