04/27/2008How to get a job in the airline industry?
- I am 18 years old I graduated high school in January and i am looking to get any kind of job in the airline industry, I live in park ridge, IL which is like 10 mins away from O'hare airport and i wanted to know were i would go to find a job at this airport. I have only had one job before (safeway food, 6 months). What could I do for a summer job at the airport? what are the chances of them hiring me?
- Best Answer:Most airlines hire from there websites, as long as you have some customer service and are dedicated to helping there passengers then that's mostly what they are looking for. Once you hired most airlines will train you on what system they use such as SABRE or APOLLO, which is quite easy to pick up. Also I would study your airline and airport codes because they usually test you to see how many of these you know.
- Answer:here's the website i found...it would be better for you to visit them in person than call, since you live so close, so they can put a face with the name. Even if you just work in concessions for now, it will help get you in the door
