04/26/2008What is needed to get your property and casualty license?
  • Okay so I was just hired to work for a Insurance Agent. He hired me without asking for proof of high school diploma or GED. I guess beacause my work background speaks for itself in a way. I have to get my Property and Casualty License though and I need to know if I am ever going to be required to have it or show proof of it to take the test needed or actually receive the license itself. I will later on have to get Life and Health Insurance License as well. Will I need to have proof or actually have my diploma to get any of these licenses? Or to take the tests needed? Please Help. I live in Nebraska if that info is needed to find this answer. Thanks
  • Best Answer:You do not need a GED or high school diploma to get a license. You need to pass a test, pay a fee, and not be a convicted felon.
  • Answer:most states require 40 classroom time and then you take the state exam. yes you will need to prove it. you will have to be appointed to the companies you works for and they will require a copy of your license. you do not need a HS diploma to do this.
