- Best Answer:Every time I buy small things, such as gum, snacks, magazines.. I try to pay the cashier with big bills instead of dollar bills even if I have enough in my wallet to pay for those. At the end of the week, I get all the $1 left in my wallet - you'll be amazed how much money you have set aside, then you can deposit that to the bank - and this also helps you in a way to control your spending - not wanting to break your big bills.
- Answer:Take a certain amount of your paycheck and put it in a savings fund. :)
Also, when going shopping, try to determine between "want" and "need". You'd be surprised with how many things are impulse buys. No-name brand things are cheaper, too.
