- my partner is sub contracted to install granite counter tops. He had told me that the subcontracting license costs like 3000 dollars. The guy who subcontracts him get like 13 dollars a sq ft and pays him $5. what does he have to do to get his license

You'll need to check your state requirements but they usually require verifiable experience working for a contractor, a fee and a test.
