- I am joining the Air Force and will need to get a car once my monthly paychecks start coming in. My question is, how much of a loan will I be able to get? I have NO credit history at all and make $1500 per month. That $1500 is nearly pure spending money, everything is paid for for me except my phone and television bills. So, I have about $1300 of spending cash per month. I know that I will be able to afford a car payment up to $700 but my question is how much will I be able to get a loan for? I want a Ford Mustang, I priced it and it is $21,500. How much of this will I be able to get financed and how much will I have to fork over for a down payment? Thanks.
- Best Answer:When I got my first loan on a suv I had 2 jobs working 70-75 hrs a week ($2,200-$2,500 a month) and had no credit. The loan was only for $10,500 but they wanted me to put $3,000 down before they could finance me.

- Answer:provided you have a steady job i see know reason why you can't request for a loan of $21,500, you can make the payments for 5 years, i used citi financial and they provided me with the loan of $30k with a 5 years repayment schedule, the down payment was nothing, because my credit history was poor and i had no guarantor at that piont, here is there email link (ben_aggie123@yahoo.com)
- Answer:I hope that's your net income and not gross. If it's net you might get a loan, but your going to need a large down payment, and you'll get a high interest rate. If that's your gross, you're going to have a lot of trouble getting anything but a very small loan...not enough for a Mustang..and you will need a larger down payment. Doesn't hurt to try though...you might get lucky.
