04/26/2008Cheapest cars to insure.?
  • Were can I find a list online of the cheapest cars to insure in the U.S.???
  • Best Answer:If you look up vehicles with the highest safety ratings, you can get a good idea, however their isn't really a publiclly released list.

Generally, 4 door sedans with multiple air bags, and little horsepower, with 4 star chrash ratings are the cheapest.
  • Answer:Your Yahoo name suggests that you have recently given birth to a child. If this is true, please take a moment to consider your beautiful baby and the world that s/he will inherit from you, and also whether or not your baby would be safer by not being placed in an environmentally negative and safety compromising infernal combustion vehicle.
Automobiles are a relic from an age of copious waste and ignorance about the value to be found in nature. In the near future people will laugh at the low-capacity motor vehicles they see in museums--Chevies, Ford, and Hummers will all be like the skeletons pulled from the tar pits--ancient ugly behemoths from a thankfully dismissed form of travel.
Any car you purchase, even electrics or hybrids, have a negative impact on your child's planet. While their emissions may be less noticeable than their infernal combustion cousins, so-called "Earth-friendly" cars(talk about an oxymoron!)still take up an inordinate amount of space, still travel on asphalt roads which soak up the heat of the sun in the daytime and release it slowly at night, further warming a planet on the brink of irreversible damage. Areas are over grown with mountains of discarded tires and ruined under toxic pools of oil, coolant, and other vehicle excretions. Think also of the savings--no car payment, no money tossed into the wind for oil, parking, insurance, fluids, and maintenance.
Gasoline, which is cheap in the USA, will soon level out with the 5-6-or 7 bucks a gallon people have been paying for years in more civilized countries. All the money you save in eschewing the sheep-to-the-slaughter conformity parade can be put to much better use in your awesome child's education.

What about walking with your baby--you will feel great and very quickly shed any excess pounds put on during gestation.
Your precious child will see the real world that s/he is a PART of, able to look at people and bugs and flowers, rather than having the world fly past while watching some Disney retread on a seatside DVD.

Check out the public transit availability in your area--if it seems to offer area-limited or infrequent service, you can make your wonderful child proud by accompanying you to transit commission hearings to demand better service!

If none of my heart-felt and well-reasoned points sway you, than please observe all traffic regulations and NEVER talk on the phone or attend to your child while in motion.

    Congratulations on your baby!!
